All Strings Attached

Sometimes when racking your brain and raiding your closet for stuff to wear, it pays to stock up on generous amounts of basics. Why? Because you can dress them in so many ways, and people will hardly notice that you’re repeating them! This top, jacket and shorts have been worn numerous times on this blog already. Can you guess when? All I did to change up the look was to match all these pale tones together and bring out a stringy royal blue scarf as my accent piece. Because all other colors I have on are neutral, all eyes immediately go to the scarf, and the rest of my worn-already separates are hardly noticed! It’s the simplest and most perfect trick for re-wearing your favorites without looking like you have nothing better to wear!

Basics don’t necessarily have to be plain or neutral colored! These gold and white zebra print shorts are still considered basic to me, because I can think of a hundred and one different ways to wear them! Plus, subtle prints like these help a lot when going for simple formula outfits because they add a dimension and make the look more interesting!

Another must have basic item for me is a  classic slim gold belt. Again, this piece has been used and abused countless times, and it’s precisely because of it’s versatility and easy adaption to different looks!

Some people would rather die than be caught wearing flats- most of these people are fashion industry greats! That’s because heels, though painful and uncomfortable, give you a better stance and better silhouette. You instantly look perkier and hotter in them! I agree to that testament, but I always say wear what makes you feel good, and you will look good! Cebu living has made my feet feel great in sandals, and so, even if they aren’t high-fashion, I love them and I will wear them!

I love this statement scarf that brought life to my entire outfit today. It’s made of cotton, so it doesn’t strain your neck or cause rashes (if you aren’t allergic to it) and it comes with a pretty braided detail hidden beneath the strings! So unique! I can already imagine wearing this double wrapped around my neck this December, if I decide to fly to a cooler place!
