On our first day in the City of Smiles, Mike and I went straight for the iconic “Ruins” owned by the Lacson family to witness first hand what everyone was raving about. Aside from the beauty of the place, the story behind it gave it so much more character and depth! Mike and I had an amazing time listening to the funny tour guides tell us about the family behind this mansion, the decision they made to burn it during the American-Japanese invasion and the love story behind these walls forever inscribed in its amazing architecture.

Aside from taking photos and touring the place, you can also eat and get yourself sculpted for a small fee! Isn’t that just freaky and cool at the same time? haha

Thanks to Mike for taking my outfit shots with our trusty Canon G1X! All photos in this post are taken by that camera alone! Amazing right?

We stayed until the afternoon pretending we were younger versions of the Lacsons (lol) then headed to Palmas del Mar to enjoy the sunset. Can’t wait to show you guys all the fun we had on the next few days of our trip! Stay tuned!

Yeah, I’m also curious about the watch. Nice!
Watch is from Michael Kors
Yeah, I was about to ask if it was indeed from Michael Kors because it had a similar design (and the brand lettering seemed same length). Cute! I better get me one of this. Thanks!
Hi Kryz! You’re so pretty! I love your style very much
Thanks Ricci!
The sculpture thingy is kinda creepy. (Oh, that rhymes. Haha!) How much is it?

Hahahaha
Lovely ruins. It’s a shame there are no plans to restore it to its former glory. I’m not a connoisseur in architecture but it looks Itallianate and somewhat neoclassical. Thank you sharing these lovely photos of you and your travels. Best regards.
Thanks Jen!
A beautiful place! Went there and met Mars last January 18!
