Beach Bums

When Laureen and Nicole told me they planned on visiting me in Cebu, I did a mini happy dance. Okay, maybe it wasn’t so mini. You see these girls are insanely fun. The moment Mike and I entered the Mactan Airport to pick them up, we spotted them from about a mile away in bright neon and screaming prints, both dancing to the same non-existent beat. To think they are local actresses and they don’t care about sleeping with mouths wide open inside the plane, or looking like weirdos dancing to no music in front of a crowd. That’s what I call a STAAAAR!

The things on their agenda included:

1. Seeing me (of course I’m the first priority! Who’s blog are you reading anyway?)

2. Eating Cebu lechon (come to think of it, this blog is getting more and more tourist friendly)

3. Going to the beach

4. Having a crazy fun time

So today, I’ll share with you 3 out of 4 things we accomplished on one Sunday afternoon. More photos of the other days to come!

Happy hour was a blast with a ton of yummy beach side knick knacks including yummy Mango Daiquiri, french fries, chicharon and bite sized lobster sandwiches.

Martin, #8jefjef, Mike and Marco accompanied us that afternoon.

It was a cloudy/rainy day so I decided to wear a breezy top that didn’t cling and a long cardigan to dress it up. It was the perfect choice considering the rain poured down on us minutes after we took these shots!

I’m addicted to sandals. If I’m not in sky high heels, I’m usually sneaking around in a pair of nude strappy ones. I’ve worn sandals (or had them with me) on most days this month, and I just can’t get enough of them! The ones I’m wearing are made from indigenous materials by Ylla shoes ordered via Chicify.

Look at those storm clouds looming overhead!

Nothing better to pair with an island girl outfit than an Island Girl necklace!

What do you think about my look?

The Ramp cardigan, Ellysage shorts and lace top, Chicify sandals, Island Girl necklace

hype this look on lookbook and chictopia!

P.S.

Don’t you just love my photos? Thanks to Canon Philippines, Laur and Nicole couldn’t help but gush over their quality! To those wondering, I’m using a Canon 600D with a 50mm 1.8 lens. I’m no pro (far from it) but it’s the best camera for what I love taking photos of!

Where I work, we rent out Canon cameras. I absolutely love the quality of Canon cameras and that 50mm prime is excellent! Whenever you have the opportunity, upgrade to a 1.4 or even a 1.2!~ Love all of the outfits!

While I was reading this post, Nicki Minaj’s Starhip song was playing in my head. Maybe because the song start’s with the line “Let’s go to the beach, beach.. Let’s go get away” Hahah! Anyhow, you really love the beach, Miss Kryz. In the future, you can be Cebu’s ambassadress for Dept. of Tourism! You always express on how great it is to stay here in Ubec :) I super love the quality of your photos, though the weather’s gloomy it didn’t fail to capture great photos! :) AND I love your top and shorts! So pretty and cute ;)
