Behind the Scenes- Music Video

A few months ago, I was asked to act/dance as the lead in a music video for a local band. I wasn’t so sure about it at first because I am no actress and videos only catch me being awkward and shaky! Plus, I didn’t want to agree and then disappoint the band by under delivering! But when my boyfriend Mike heard who the band was and what song they wanted to shoot, he got soooo excited and asked me (okay, he begged me) to say yes. It was only until I heard the song that I realized why he really wanted me to do it! Curious? Well, you’ll just have to wait for the video to come out! *hopefully soon*

After years of not dancing, I had to wiggle my static body out of it’s comatose state and get it back in shape. Well, not really, I just tried my best not to look weird, and begged my partner and the choreographer, Gio, to make my steps easy! Good thing he was a close friend of mine since my college days (he used to be the President of the Company of Ateneo Dancers, where I was Jazz Head on my senior year)! It was so easy to dance with a familiar partner! Some of the super funny Blue Babble (Ateneo’s cheer dance group) girls were also part of the video! I grabbed some of these photos from their instagram! (Thank you!)

I missed performing and acting silly with performers! The stage, the lights, the movement, the music- everything was just too familiar! I got missing-college-syndrome right after we did the shoot! To all my readers who are still in school, enjoy it and make the most out of it! They are some of the best years of your life! (I sound like a 60 year old has been lol)

I flew in the night before the shoot and went straight to rehearsals. Thats right, I only learned the dance then! Soooooo goodluck to the video editors! I hope I didn’t make it too hard to edit the film! hahaha

This was our set. We shot at a theater in UP Diliman, the biggest university campus in Manila. I’ll tell you all about the set when I post the video. I don’t want to reveal too much!

So excited to see it! Hope you are too!
