This is what I wore on my birthday last January 10. I really wanted to dress comfortably, since I didn’t want to be uncomfortable the whole day, but I also wanted to look nice and be myself. So, I opted for a classy monochromatic look, kept cozy with my thin knit sweater from Romwe and added a festive touch with my glittery skirt from Windsor.
In my opinion, sequins are to instant glam as monochrome is to instant sophisticaton!
We had brunch in Cafe Georg, everyone’s no brainer favorite resto here in Cebu. I love their interiors. I wish I could have taken more shots of it to show you, but we were in a private room and the place was packed! Just believe me when I say this place is so cute! Its actually a part of my peg for my new room!
I love my mom’s impeccable taste, and I thank her for saving this vintage Celine stewardess bag, with storage capacities larger than you can ever imagine. haha
I had fun taking shots of the food we ordered. About 5 seconds after this was taken, my sister and her husband gobbled it up! haha My new favorite cake from Cafe Georg is this Kahlua wonder. A must try!
Being Chinese, we always wear red to celebrations- birthdays, christmas, new years etc. as a sign of prosperity, cheer and goodluck ( I think.) Since it was my birthday, I didn’t have to wear red myself, but I opted to go with tradition in this beautiful statement necklace by Ciara Marasigan. Still one of my favorites among all my jewelry!

Oh, I love bags that hold more than they look like they would on the outside– your mum has great taste! The colours in your outfit are really pretty (I especially like the bright red necklace, it’s a beautiful piece of jewelry) and in the past few months, I’ve definitely started to see how sequins, as you say, are a key to instant glam.
