Block Screening

There are a million ways to launch a book, or throw an event. No right or wrong, but I for one, really dislike events that just make you stand there and watch a program. Time is gold for me because I’m always dealing with a million and one things. When people actually go out of their way to give you a few precious minutes or hours of their time, you better give them something worth while. So how did I decide to launch my book? By getting a whole VIP cinema and the first screening of StarWars Rogue One all to ourselves!

I wanted to give back to the people who have always been there for me- my family, my friends, my readers. I wanted to thank them for all the support they’ve given me- not by boring them about facts and trivia about me or the book, but with something I honestly enjoy doing myself- watching a movie!

We picked the newest and most VIP cinema in Cebu at Robinsons Movie World, Robinsons Galleria. Each guest got free drinks and popcorn from the cinema, free mac and cheese or salted egg chips and juice from Little Chef, and free coffee from Bo’s coffee.

Slater and I were so eager to shoot before everyone got there! Also, this was my Starwars inspired OOTD- Space Trooper-esque maxi. What do you think?

Thank you so much to all my family, friends, and readers who celebrated the occassion with me.

 P.S.

Thank you to Serious Studio and my Cebu team for all the hard work they put into this book. We all worked on it together for a whole year and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Shout out to David Cua, my editor- for all his crazy ideas and for turning my thoughts into white girl dialogues. Also a big big thank you to my bestie who helped with all the shoots and styling cause I couldn’t do it all myself!!!

P.P.S.

To all those still looking for a copy- stocks were low because it was selling out so fast! They are sending books out to all bookstores nationwide AS WE SPEAK so they should be rolled out to a branch near you this week or next (as per ABS CBN Publishing.) Don’t forget to tag me when you get your copy and #BehindTheBlog and #ThirstythoughtBook so I don’t miss it! More (sur)prizes await!!!
