Pantene Stylist Series: Controlled Chaos

Since we’re all settled in the merry month of July, let me start of with the first of four looks for the Pantene Stylist Series I was telling you about! This look is called Controlled Chaos- a spontaneous blend of textures, colors and technique.

My hair was styled by Celebrity Hair Stylist Alex Carbonel.

First, my hair was divided into sections and twisted into separate lines pulled together into one messy spiral bun.

The end result? A sleek mixture of unique twists- a modern bird’s nest if you will! But see all those hair pins we used? That’s probably a whole tray’s worth, plus a can of hairspray! As much as I love this hairstyle, the extreme styling really takes it’s toll on my hair, and I need a way to combat it. Yes, even when you don’t use products, the pulling and tugging of your hair has a negative effect on it!

My solution? Pantene Total Damage Care. A session in the shower later, my hair is back to it’s shining glory!

The look I styled to go with my hair was also a blend of prints, cuts and textures- edgy yet sophisticated, playful yet put together. This top is actually has symmetric cutouts at the shoulder, but I opted to wear just one of the sleeves to give it an interesting twist.

To glamorize my edgy look, I opted to wear a ton of crystals and finish it off with silver glitter wedges.

Here’s another leg lengthening trick- pull your leggings down to cover half your feet. They instantly give the illusion of a longer silhouette!
