Hello from CdO! Again! Well, actually I’m in Singapore, but these photos were taken a few weeks ago when I visited the city for WAGW work. To all the Kagay-anons, can you guess where in CdO this is? Nautical looks are always a classic and classic looks are always welcome in my book. When in doubt, navy and white are always a good match and will make you look sophisticated without even trying. Paired with this seasons sandal staple, this outfit makes for a chic travel ready look (yet again!)

Sometimes the lesser you have on, the better your look becomes. I find that most of the time, piling on accessories makes your look more casual and less classy. So, for this particular outfit, I merely opted for this statement ring, my WAGW gold slim belt, favorite watch and a pair of color block earrings. Not only did it perfectly complement my outfit, but it also saved me from the hassle of bleeping xray’s in the airport! Yup, you read that right, this is an airport outfit (yet again!) What can you do when your life revolves around traveling! But hey, I ain’t complaining! Hopefully in the next years to come, all my travelling will include first class tickets to the seven wonders of the world! #libremangarap

I am beyond happy and honored to announce that I am the new face of Fujifilm Instax Cameras! I’ve loved these polaroids even before they were officially brought in to the Philippines, and so having the opportunity to be trusted with the brand is just overwhelmingly amazing. Thank you so much to my Fujifilm family for this! Can’t wait to show you guys what we have planned for the year!

Just last week, we launched the Mini 8 series (SRP: Php4180) which boasts of 5 delicious colors. The pink one was the fastest to sell out- everyone wanted the cotton candy hue! I on the other hand chose yellow for myself. Yellow is definitely one of my favorite colors! Wish I had all these colors to match with my looks though! (kelangan magmatch??? lol)

I flew to Manila for the launch and spotted this billboard along Edsa Santolan. Whoohoo! This is my 4th billboard to date, and my 2nd one along Edsa in Manila! Can’t be happier and more thankful for such awesome opportunities like this. Just a few years ago, I would have rolled my eyes if anyone told me I’d get to be on a billboard- and now look! So blessed and forever thankful!

I played with my Fujifilm X-E1 during the event (it’s my go to camera now, and my DSLR replacement for the last few weeks. Have you noticed the change in my outfit posts???) Above is a photo I took of Christian Jamolod, the Managing Director of Fujifilm Philippines. I tried to play with the multiple exposure feature of the camera, but had no creativity better subject lol. But its a cool feature to play around with nonetheless!

During the event, we got to know more about the company, it’s plans for this year, and best of all… we got to decorate our instax selfies! A whole lot of people got to head home with their own instax cameras, and during the second event of the night, some guys were even lucky enough to take home X-Pro 1′s, Dell laptops, projectors and Motor wait for it… cylces- MOTORCYCLES! Awesome right??

Here’s my second attempt at the multiple exposure function. This time, I was assisted by Omeng, one of Fujifilm‘s X Ambassadors. The picture above turned out so much better than my first solo attempt, right? lol

Because it was a whole day affair for me, I chose to wear a comfy A line dress that was appropriate for both afternoon and evening affairs. This cute yet sexy dress from Love clothing London was perfect. Don’t you think?

There’s something about an all neutral outfit that makes you look trés trés classy, even in the simplest of silhouettes. Well, my outfit for today isn’t really all that simple. It’s actually one of my Joe Dirt mullet moments, y’know… business up front and party at the back. There’s a surprise peek-a-boo appearance behind, and knowing my absolute favor for all back details, it doesn’t even come as a surprise anymore!

The hardest part about wearing my favorite backless pieces is finding the right bra to wear with it while avoiding sag-city! Cup A girls usually have the option to go free willy, but higher cups need more support! I suggest wearing stick on bras, and I especially love the ones at Maidenform where the sticker is just at your sides, and not on the actual bust. But some people can’t handle stick-ons, especially when you need to wear them the entire day! My next best bet is to find a pretty lace bandeau that you can layer under your top for a classy and dainty alternative. I stock mine from WAGW, and since I know a lot of girls need this intimate piece, we have them in white, black and gray + other plain designs too!

With an all beige look like this, it’s important to add a hint of color for character. It doesn’t have to be loud, but it needs to complement your look ironically (if that makes any sense at all). I’m bringing a snakeskin clutch to add a bit of edge to this otherwise girly ensemble.

Hello from CdO! I took these photos at Xavier Estates on my trip to Cagayan de Oro a few weeks ago. Super love how my long cardigan made me feel comfy and cozy despite all the delays and travel plans. All I did was pop it on top of this bodycon dress and I easily got a day to night look + airplane outfit! Would love to know what you think, so please leave a comment!

I’d be hardpressed to think of anything more peachy than wearing a full look in carnation and rocking a complete set of bloomed blossoms on your head. Well, you can’t (I won’t let you) blame me. It’s that time of the month when my hormones take the best of me, and this time, instead of making my emotions go wacko, I was given an extra dose of estrogen instead! It’s female power to the nth level you guys! These kinds of looks are what make me feel like I’m letting my true annoyingly girly self out- without holding anything back. Okay, that was a lie. If I weren’t holding anything back, this look would not only be pink, it would probably be spitting sparkles too! Aaanyway, let me break this look down for you.

In my attempts to create a look that Lisa Frank herself would be proud of, I took out this floral headpiece with all the flowers in full bloom, and stuck it on my already overly blushed face. (I’m telling you, it can’t get any pinker than this!) I also felt the ultimate necessity to bring out my pink blinged bag with the biggest bling lock, just to make my look more… well… blingy!

In all honesty, I wanted to rock the coachella-esque festival look and wear my new pretty pink bra from Wacoal with high waist shorts and a blazer. But to save myself from daunting glares, I layered up instead and wore a twist tube top over the bra. Though personally, I think the outfit would have looked so much chicer without it. This bra is not your regular strapless one too. It comes with a multi-way strap that lets you play around with different looks. I can already imagine using them in a V in front. So cute and creative! If only this city and its inhabitants were ready for looks like these!

And because this time of the month means I can’t be bothered to dainty-fy my actions- the life saving solution came in the form of these tie dyed shorts and studded sandals. They. were. perfect.

Whenever I go out without make-up on, I always feel like such a K-pop star. Okay fine, I feel a little less star and a little more Korean, but you get the point. I don’t know what it is about my facial features that make a lot of the people around me think the same way! A few of my friends looked at these photos as well, and they all said I look different! Maybe it’s the clean face coupled with the fact that I’m wearing glasses and a hat? Hmm.. you tell me!

So here we are at Gotham City, where the skies are blue, buildings are high, and where our enemies lie in that sole dark corner… Ooookay Kryz that’s enough! Injustice league is taking over my life! lol Aside from carpel tunnel taking its toll on my arm (damn you rapid tap!) Everything seems like a place where superheros and bad guys meet! But seriously guys, this may look a lot like Gotham City (at least in my head it does), however it’s really just Metro Manila! This was actually the view from my hotel room balcony just a few weeks ago! In the heart of bustling Makati lies a boutique hotel called Picasso- fittingly filled with art pieces and modern decor that I’ll be happy to show you below!

Right when you enter the lobby, there are wire art pieces propped up on a white wall- very reminiscent of an art gallery! Even the floors are marbled, and the lights on top facing the works of art! If you head over to the second floor, there’s a cozy WiFi lounge that I used to update you guys while on my stay there!

I stayed in the Malaga studio room which had bright colored red and green walls, a flat screen TV and other basic necessities. I had a love-hate relationship with this bed above while I was there. I crashed on it every night after a full looooong day (from Bloggers United, The Fashion Blogger Talk, setting up bazaars and shoots!) and though I didn’t spend much time here, this bed totally has a special place in my heart now for knocking me out cold 3 nights straight!

Each floor and corner of the hotel was filled with interesting art pieces which made it feel so much more youthful and inviting. I especially love the cemented hands installation which you’ll find in the following photos below!

The rooms came with complimentary breakfast which made my bottomless pitt of a tummy exceedingly happy! I made sure to head down by 9:50 AM despite the warm embrace of my bed as the breakfast was only available up to 10AM, and guys, when I’m hungry, it only takes me 10 minutes to down 3 plates of breakfast food! I proceeded to grab my fill from their buffet table and order my omelettes and coffee. It was here that I discovered how good toasted jam (oh yes, toasted jam) with bread and emmenthal cheese is!

Now for the best part of the hotel- the Gym. I’m a gym buff and having a good place to workout is really important to me. When I saw the hotel gym, my jaw dropped to the floor! Incredible architecture, wall to ceiling mirrors and great equipment! Plus, enough light to take decent instagram pictures! #bloggerpriorities lol

I was so excited about this place that I didn’t mind trying out the machines in my heels!

Can you say WHOOOOAH?? I have to say… that is one HUGE TARP! I wanted to instagram that thing as soon as I laid my eyes on it, but it wouldn’t fit and the square frame just didn’t do it justice! #firstworldproblems So instead, here Laur and I posed with it and it is now the first image of this blog post! Hurrah! (P.S. spot the lovely lady taking outfit shots behind us! Well, what do you expect? It’s a talk about fashion blogging, so naturally, there would be fashion bloggers!) Before I start with this experience, let me show you what I wore to the event!

In complete contrast to my dad (who is an international public speaker), I absolutely loathe speaking in public. It’s not that I’m shy or that I get butterflies in my stomach or whatever, but because I hate the feeling of having a ton of people watching me. I know, how ironic- a fashion blogger who posts photos of herself, yet doesn’t wan’t people looking at her! WAIT! Before you close that tab on your browsers, hear me out! Having people look at you on the screen is completely different from having people look at you LIVE (not dead… corny lol) and in person. Henceforth (oh yes, that term is completely necessary here), I decided to translate those feelings into my outfit. After all, clothes are a manifestation of who you are, and what you want to portray, right? All eyes on me is this time not only happening figuratively, but quite literally too! It has absolutely no logical value, but this actually helped me feel a little bit more at ease during the talk! The power of clothes- it’s amazeballs!

Now finally, on to the talk! When Laur, Cams and I arrived, David and Lissa were already wrapping up their segment. They had 200+ slides made with David’s impeccable powerpoint skillz (with a z), while the three of us only had this piece of paper as our guide! But don’t worry, we totally rocked the talk because our friendship was so overwhelmingly welcoming and entertaining that we had everyone laughing with us the entire time! (ooo diba?)

Aside from giving a whole lot of blogging tips and sharing the story of how we all became friends, we also called on the audience for volunteers on who could show us our signature poses. Apparently, mine is the one above! Lol So funny to have other people pay so much attention to these little things! When I saw my sweet reader’s interpretation of me, all I could say was “omg thats totally me!” lol

The three of us also split up and talked about our strengths- Laureen talked about how to layer on accessories, Camille did print on print, and I did hair and make-up! It was quite fun actually because even if we all had different things to say, we all ended up helping each other out without planning to, and finishing each others sentences while we were at it! The test of true friendship?

Thank you to everyone who came to the talk and shared your Sunday with us! We all really had an amazing time and I’m wishing there were more events like these that we could all participate in! Totally something I would do over and over again! Public speaking fear, I’ve just kicked your ***!

It’s finally time to tell you guys about one of the most anticipated and favored events on my calendar- Bloggers United! We’re at it’s 5th instalment, and if there’s anything we’ve proven, it’s that BU keeps getting bigger and better every time! To this momentous event, I took out my beautiful Cage City dress that I’ve saved for special occasions. (BU is definitely one of those instances!) I love love love this piece on me because the fit was absolutely perfect! It’s rare that I don’t have to alter my dresses (especially cutout ones like these) because they’re usually really loose on my hips. But the moment I tried this on and it fit like a dream, I just knew we were meant to be together!

My white dress was so perfect and so me! It was cute and modern, classic and sexy, and it allowed me to add pops of detail and color just the way I like it! Dear God, thank you very very much for this perfection in a dress that you have so gracefully bestowed upon me. I have to say, I am totally rocking it! lol

According to a lot of the readers I met that day, this is one of my signature Instagram #selfie poses! Lol I love how my readers know my angles better than I do!

Mike flew in to Manila with me to help me set up and get everything in place. It’s hard to do things myself because I had to ship around 15 boxes of stuff from Cebu, and I had no driver to take them to the venue or help me arrange my stuff. I had to hire a van and 2 sales associates to keep me company that day, because otherwise, Mike and I would have died! We set up my booth around midnight at the night before and we were surprised to find all of my racks and clothes disassembled and on the ground 2 hours after doors were opened! Yes, thats how crazy and shop-hungry the people were! My booth was flocked and within a few hours, most of the stuff was sold!

Mike was such a sweetie to help around despite not having anything to eat yet. He was the one who picked up the racks from the floor and reassembled them, while I was busy attending to my lovely readers. Can you spot him in the photo above?

A sweet sweet reader had this pin on her that read “I <3 Kryz Uy.” Apparently she’s had it since the last BU! My heart melted and I asked to snap her right away! After the whole event, my blogger besties and I chowed down some italian food at Aria just because we were sooo exhausted from the festivities!

I also got to reunite with Sam Sadhwani, who is now one of the hosts for a TV show called ETC HQ! They interviewed me for a bit amidst the crazy shopping, and I’m secretly hoping I didn’t sound too flustered or annoying! I keep saying over and over again how I’m not a TV person- and that goes for watching it, and being in it! But it was an experience nonetheless, and always one for the books!

I really appreciate my readers’ support and I always see it manifested whenever I attend meet and greets or BUs. I wish we could have Bloggers United segments in each city of the Philippines so I could meet more of my beautiful, fun and inspiring readers! Okay, this outfit isn’t very geeky, but hear me out. Every time we have shoots for WAGW, I’m always super excited to post them here on the blog and hear what you guys have to say about it. We have shoots every month, and I style and produce every single one of them- from concept to merchandise to actual outfits! It’s a looong process but when the photos finally come out, it’s all very worth it. This is what I wore to our latest back to school shoot called “GEEK CHIC.“

I always make sure to stay comfy during shoots, so I wore black and white cotton basics with these pretty suede flats. My hair is almost always in a messy bun, and I always choose minimal but statement accessories, like these 6-inch beaded earrings- which coincidentally are from WAGW!

After the shoot, I had to attend a small event for Fujifilm Philippines (more on that soon!) so I popped on this embellished blazer and some pretty heels for a quick day-to-night transition. This blazer is one of my closet staples- and when I say closet staples, I mean things I have in multiple colors! You’ve probably seen me wearing the white version during the  WAGW Style Ambassador’s launch in Abreeza Mall! I can’t help it. When I find something chic with the perfect details and the perfect fit, one piece just isn’t enough!

Introducing “Geek Chic” our latest collection featuring back to school pieces that will surely turn you into the ultimate campus cutie! My sister Jack shot these photos while I downed unhealthy amounts of milkshakes. Can I just say, this place is one of my favorite hangouts in Cebu! I would die to have a room filled with post-it’s like this! Well, I wouldn’t actually die for it, but wouldn’t that be totally cool??

Okay okay, these photos aren’t part of the lookbook. I was just really jealous and I wanted photos inside the coffee shop too! Wish I forced Jack to edit them for me though! She’s amazing with the camera, and you can tell… I am not as gifted! lol
