A few days ago, I was able to visit my college university, Ateneo de Manila. You really don’t realize how much something means to you until its gone. I was so overwhelmed with emotions and memories of the fun times I had back then. In my honest opinion, we had the best campus in the whole country, and walking around it again just seemed so surreal. I wish I were a student again! I also wish I could’ve taken more photos to show you guys the things I’m babbling about, but we were in a rush and all I could take for you are these outfit shots. To my Atenean readers, can you guess where I took this?

I’ve reserved this top I’m wearing for quite some time now because I love it so much. In fact, I squealed when I saw it (and so did my best friend!) It’s just too cute. I figured, a trip back to my old campus deserved such a special top (even if it was a holiday, and no one was there to see me LOL) but whatever!

I paired it with my new high waisted Gold shorts from Oh My Frock. I’ve always loved Gold and Red together, and since it was Chinese New Year, I knew I was playing my cards right! It is after all Goodluck in Chinese superstition to wear Gold and Red.

This sort of outfit was what I usually had on back as a student. Cute top, cute shorts, watch,  simple accessories-

and of course, flats.

What would you wear on a day where you had to:

Well, this is what I wore on my fully loaded day.

Jogging Pants. Why? Because there is nothing in the world that is more comfortable than a pair of sweats. Who says you can’t look cute while wearing them?

My only accessory that day was this fully embellished crystal detachable collar from ROMWE. I DIE. This stunner makes my whole look instantly glam, even if every piece of clothing I have on screams casual. It’s effect is INSANE.

To keep things even more chill, I wore my soon to be released cropped top from WAGW. It’s loose, semi-sheer and filled with cute details, like the exposed zippers and oversized pockets. Plus, the big armholes are a perfect way to add another layer of surprise! Simple, yet chic!

I kept my outfit monochromatic to keep it less casual and more chic, and amped it up with Electric blue pumps. Like I always say, nothing beats a fresh pop of color! Of course, I brought bright colored flats as a dupe while I was on the go. I’m no wonder woman, and I can’t function from hours on end running in heels! 

Lastly, I kept my hair in a messy low bun with my stay put Goody elastics. I’m not so happy with my hair right now, and I have to say, thank God Goody is always at my back!

 So I went to my log cabin and took these outfit shots by my fire wood wall. I wish! I couldn’t resist squeezing myself into this tiny space just to show you guys what I thought was a beautiful piece of art. I am such a sucker for all things warm, woody and cozy. In fact, when I was deciding on a theme for my new room, I first imagined it to look like a loft in a log cabin (but that didn’t really work out for me- thats another story!) Anyway, on to my outfit!

I wore my gorgeous silk cape (which my nephew kept hiding under and insisting I was Wonder Woman) with a pop of fresh Seafoam green. If you haven’t noticed, pops of color are kind of my thing. (ha! I have a thing! *proud of myself*) I think it adds dimension and mystery to any outfit- but of course, that’s just me being dramatic. In short, it just really looks pretty! And because I was feeling like such a superhero in my cape, I thought why not go full blast with some wings and boots? Well, luckily for me and my outfit, I have a pair of wedges that have both. So voila! Wonder woman me. What do you think?

Last month, I participated in a charity ball for Bachelor’s Femina, Cebu. A roster of couples including Mike and myself performed the Rigodon, a traditional Filipino dance, during the night of the ball. Everyone was dressed in Terno gowns designed by Cebu’s young and aspiring designers. My gown was designed by a known local couturier, Ronald Enrico. I was so honored to be chosen by the biggest name in the list of designers for that night!

My dress was intricately adorned with cascading black beads, and the effect was astonishing! He made removable Terno sleeves to go with my dress, which made it all the more comfortable!

Mike and I had so much fun learning and performing the dance. It’s not every day you get to dress up like this and perform in front of an audience. What made it even more enjoyable were the little inside jokes Mike and I had for everything! We were so busy that we only got to attend a few rehearsal schedules, and we ended up hinting and helping each other out with the steps on the day itself!

Im so lucky to have such a supportive boyfriend!

I ordered this cute sweater from Mexy Shop and decided it would be fun to take inspiration from the embroidered girl on print. So I got my trusty spin pins, tied up my hair and voila! So simple! I left out the square frames since I didn’t want it to look too “forced on.” What do you think?

I opted for glam accessories like this fully sequinned envelope clutch and sky high suede booties (which I still lust over, even if I have it already!) to keep my look mature and sophisticated on top of cutesy.

Take your pick! I love how this look is so versatile. This long romantic cardigan is one of my favorite pieces in my whole wardrobe. I paired it with a simple gray tank and feminine lace shorts for a casual look and glammed it up with gold accessories. The whole outfit looks so effortlessly dramatic! For the longest time, I’ve always wanting to don on boxing shoes as part of an outfit, but I never had the guts to. I always thought they looked so awesome- especially when I was still dancing, and my co-dancers would wear it as their costume. But really, in a tropical country, knee high lace-ups are a sight for sore eyes- so I never got around to buying myself a pair.

And then this happened:

How cool would it be to be twenty something and be a proud director of your very own film? Well, actually- it’s pretty darn awesome and VERY. VERY. COOL.

To show support for my friend, Bia’s, big achievement, this post is for her. I took inspiration from her movie and created a look based on the main activity, boxing (yay! perfect opportunity to take my new boots out for a spin!). The story revolves around two boxers: one,  young and talented, the other, aged yet passionate. The two are headed for a collision as they prepare against each other in the bout that will define their lives.

Tips for surviving the wild Sinulog street party at my beloved home town:

1. Wear breathable/disposable clothes. This cotton romper was perfect! The prints screamed Sinulog while the fit and feel were unbelievable comfortable! I was torn on whether or not to risk wearing this since I didn’t want to dispose it, but it was just too perfect, I had to! Why disposable? You’ll see in a while.

2. Bring sunnies as your only accessory- to avoid getting direct sunlight (and BEER) into your eyes. People will be pouring everything on everyone, so it’s best to come prepared.

3. Ziplock your cellphone or put it in a waterproof case, lest you want it to turn yellow with hints of bright poster paint.

4. Bring small bills- and find a nice safe place to store it. With a crowd this huge, you’re bound to lose something!

5. Tie your hair to bear the heat wave. It will save your life!

So this was me, pre-sinulog. All nice and clean.

I arrived Baseline to find a crowd this insane. This isn’t even half of it- more like 1/16th!

5 minutes in… this happened! Thats me holding my waterproof case (or sosyal na ziplock!)

And believe me when I say I was one of the cleanest ones there!
