If it isn’t obvious enough, yes, I’ve just read the very popular best selling trilogy by EL James. But why the connection? I think everyone has just about fifty shades of themselves that they turn to for different reasons and occasions. It’s certainly not a surprise to be mercurial about a lot of things in my family, so I guess I’m really used to it. I also guess that partly explains why I can shift through trends so easily without feeling like I’m losing myself or my personal style. One day girly, the next edgy, and then androgynous and then glamorous- you name it, i’d love to try it! I think in fashion, having fifty shades (or more) of style is nothing but a good thing. It keeps your look interesting and tests your creativity and boldness. It’s always difficult for me to answer interviews that ask me for two words to describe my personal style, because it’s always evolving. In all honesty, I’m this close to writing down “fifty shades”!

One thing I do notice about my looks is always adding a pop of interest to it- be it an a statement accessory, or in a pop of color/metallic to a monochromatic outfit.

I also love playing with proportions and finding ways to dress for my petite frame. Usually, I like wearing skirts, shorts or fitted jeans to emphasize and lengthen the legs, but at the rate my fifty shades are going, that could change pretty soon! You might even catch me wearing something Margiela or Comme de Garcon!

Shoes are very important to me, and you can tell by the sheer number of pairs I have! They really do make or break an outfit! What kind of shoes will my fifty shades bring me to wear now?

Functionality is also something that I look for now. I love this Mohzy makeshift bracelet USB that perfectly matches my outfit. With Mohzy, you can change your iPhone and other i-gadgets while your on the go without having to bring all those messy wires! If someone would come up with a laptop that I can wear, I’d definitely try to wear it!

I loooove your outfit! Especially your shoes! I like how you mix and match different pieces and it looks really good as a whole! I also think reading your blog during my spare time is such a great stress-reliever, its so light and fun to read!
I can relate to what you’re saying, i find it hard to look for pieces that make me look tall and to hide my petite frame! Keep up the good work! Love your style xoxo
