Fortune Teller

Due to bad-bangs-days, I stock up on hats and headpieces so I can easily stuff them up there and away from anyones scrutinizing eyes (especially my own!) And because of this, lo and behold my fortune teller look! Hats on women aren’t a very common sight here in the Philippines, and though I usually don’t give a second thought about standing out while wearing one, sometimes I do feel like laying low and blending in. So instead of a big floppy hat, I wore a beanie. Okay okay, this headpiece and neon shorts don’t exactly scream (or whisper) “face in the crowd,” but I did try my best to still wear what I want given my conditions! Besides, I paired them down with a plain polo, sandals and basic accessories- that should count for something right? right? anyone? no? okay.

Here’s a food for thought: It’s such a common thing to invest on denims and black basic bottoms and just pile on trendy tops with them for everyday looks. But my question is, why don’t we do the opposite? Why not keep basic white polos and thrown on trendy bottoms instead? I find that doing that makes you look like you tried just a bit harder, even though your efforts are practically the same! #cheats

I never thought it would come to this, but I now have more sandals than heeled shoes and boots combined. I’m growing up!!! #ProudMoments Gone are the days when I thought wearing flats were a sin. I’ve mentioned this numerous times but just in case you missed it, Kryz Uy is all about finding comfort and confidence in what you wear. So- viva la sandals! Who’s with me?
