You have to admit, these shorts scream “blogger”. They come in a colorful loud print, they’re garterized at the waist and they end in a beautiful line of combed out fringe. You can wear it with a simple white V-neck and people would still be looking your way! These babies are such attention seekers that I was challenged to create a look with them that was more tamed down and wearable. Hence, the flapper silhouette. I tucked out a basic black polo and only allowed the shorts to slightly peek through at the bottom. The line I created was very boxy and straight- very 20s shift dress.

This basic polo had such cute gold details that I incorporated into my arm party. I especially love the rivets that go all the way down the button line, forming a necktie of sorts!

With the shorts tucked out, the prints get more visible and the look gets wilder. Sometimes the trick to wearing bold prints when you don’t feel like it is to adjust their line of visibility on your outfit. When feeling more daring, you can go ahead and bare those loud prints proud!

And just to cap off my look, I added pretty blue suede peep-toes to bring out the color of my shorts and to keep my outfit from looking too dull.

How would you have styled these shorts?
