Happiness on the move

Isn’t this outfit just bursting at the seams with vigour? I can feel the happy energy coming out from all sides of this look! Color, cutouts, florals, brights, studs- you name it, it’s all in there! I’m a walking jambalaya of sunshine. Well, it doesn’t hurt to dress the way we feel, right? After all, what you wear plays a huge impact on people’s first impressions on you, because it really expresses your personality. So today, people will expect me to be a perky little bubble!

I piled on a bunch of fun colored accessories to spice up my look, since I was just in a basic formula outfit. Piling on jewellery usually makes your outfit more playful and quirky in an instant.

And because you can never tell how the weather will roll during the day, I made sure I wore a breezy top under my blazer for when the sun started to shine. This cutout top was perfect for the occasion! I hate wearing a stuffy piece on top of another stuffy piece just because it looks good together, so finds like this top were like stumbling upon a gold mine.

I brought out my new Hellolulu laptop bag for a spin today. I remember always waiting for new designs from Hellolulu back in college. I discovered the brand at a Fully Booked branch and fell in love with it because of its playful design, affordability and impeccable quality. In fact, those bags from 5 years ago are still with me today! I’m so attached to this brand that I even got myself Hellolulu travel bags, camera straps and camera bags in different colors!

You can stuff a number of things inside the bag because it has tons of compartments. But my favorite part has to be cute tag with “hapiness on the move” on it. It just gives the bag (and the one who bought it!) so much character!

Another piece I absolutely love are shorts, especially when they’re high waisted and embellished. A few years ago, I even did a DIY pair of shorts with sewn on pearls just because I couldn’t find it anywhere in stores, and I was desperate to have it! They’re just so flattering and easy to dress up in! Agree?

The “Shoes and Bag rule” is one of the oldest tricks in the book. If you can’t decide what to wear, just pair both and you’re good to go for sure! It’s not a rule that you can’t break, but it makes for easy dressing when you don’t have the time or patience to think about what to wear!

I’d also like to give a shout out to my awesome mirror sunnies from Sun Pocket that I am currently in love with. Green and orange are such yummy colors, and they added the perfect amount of vibrance to my look! I got these at Terminal Store from Ronac Art Center in Ortigas. At less than P4,000 a pair, it’s such a steal!
