How to: Cut and Style Your Sinulog Shirts (Part 2)

4 more days ’til the much awaited Sinulog festival! Are you guys ready? To those of us who are going, here’s another round of simple DIY shirt tutorials to help you gear up for the big day. I only have three below, so if you want to see more, check out my old post here! Of course, you can opt to go the easy way and head on over to Islands Souvenirs and let them do it for you for free! Go to any of their branches or to the north wing of SM Cebu if you’re interested. Now on to the tutorial for the more crafty lot!

1.Braided back racer

Step 1: Cut off the sleeves from your shirt.

Step 2: Flip to the back and cut out a deeper curve on the sleeves.

Step 3: Cut the collar out, and cut 1/3rd of the back section through horizontally.

Step 4: Cut lower portion into 3 strips.

Step 4: Braid and tie.

Step 5: Connect to top portion and tie together.

 Voila!

2. V neck cropped top.

Step 1: Cut out the collar from your shirt and cut the middle straight down to create a flap.

Step 2: Cut off the sleeves of your shirt.

Step 3: Flip to the back and cut horizontally across the middle.

Step 4:Cut off the hem.

Step 5: Cut the sides of the front of the shirt to create a tie bottom.

Voila!

3. Side Cut Out Shirt.

 Step 1: Cut your shirt horizontally across the middle.

Step 2: Make a hole on the bottom of the top half.

 Step 3: Cut the bottom half slightly diagonally on both sides to create a triangle, and then cut a slit on the peak of it.

 Step 4: Tie the bottom slit to the top hole.

Voila!
