How to Style an LBD/LWD for Day

When you’re in a pickle and you can’t decide what to wear, the one thing that will save you no matter what the occasion is a little white/black dress. Most people think it’s only appropriate for cocktail events or nights out, but I beg to disagree. These pieces are so versatile, you can wear it to the beach, to the mall, to work- anywhere really! You just need to know how to accessorize them to their dress them up or down. In today’s post, I’m gonna show you how I take these two beautiful dresses from Le-Contour and style them for a very effortless day look. I’m not going to over-style them because I want to keep this as relatable and wearable as possible. Hopefully, you guys will pick up a thing or two today! Enjoy!

For the little white dress, I decided to match it with all white accessories. The hat instantly takes it from night to day, and the slide on mules balance out the femininity of the dress. I didn’t wear any necklaces or bangles to keep the look clean, fresh and classy.

If you must wear earrings, opt of the classic- not too trendy pairs. Or if you want to go for trendy jewellery, skip the hat!

For the little black dress, I’m keeping my hair away from my face in a low ponytail to stay away from the usual sexy connotations of an body-con dress. Matching this with printed brogues adds a touch of unexpected quirkyness to the look. I also wore a choker to keep things more modern. This particular one had a dragonfly gem on it, keeping to the quirky and playful vibe. Lastly, I took out a colorful teal bag that really added dimension and interest to the look.

What do you think?
