I remember a time back in my University days when my classmates and I would have to come up with themed corporate looks to wear to panel defenses and oral exams. Everyone’s go to outfit would always be a simple white top and a black bottom because it was the most basic combination that everyone was sure to already have in their closets. Taking inspiration from that simple look and time, I came up with a new version of our Black and White workwear with a bit of pretty carnation pink and a fun play on blocking.

Don’t my polo and skirt look like they were made for t he same collection? I felt like I was playing with chic lego blocks while styling this look! And of course, I had to get my sunnies to match the whole theme as well!

Accessorizing my outfit was an easy task. All I did was pick colors from my outfit and find a classy way to put them all together. Because the look was simple, I brought out a gorgeous embellished clutch bag which brought life to my outfit, and added a silver necklace for a touch of detail. No one wants to go overboard with bling in the office, so I kept it all at an edited minimum. Now this is something I’ll easily wear to corporate meeting, oral defense or any company event!

What do you think?
Clothes for the Goddess polo, Pinkbox barettes, Zero UV sunnies, Tie A Little Nut necklace, Kiss and Tell skirt, Call It Spring heels, MyEveryday Fashion Bag, Tag Heuer watch, Nails by Beauty and Butter

Thanks Eileen!
I was just thinking of how to dress up all grown-uppy but not look like I’m twice as old. I tend to lean towards kiddie-looking clothes because my glasses add like five years to my face. This is why I love your blog so much!
Add hints of playfulness to an otherwise grown-up looking outfit! Like spunky shoes or a cute accessory
so classy.
Thanks MK!
