Italian at Antica Osteria

Fear not, foodies! I haven’t forsaken you just yet. Here’s another spice filled restaurant for you to try on your next trip out and about in Cebu City- Antica Osteria.

This place will take you back to Italy with it’s bottle lined walls, hanging bags of ham, tiled floors, chalkboard menus and wood fired ovens. My favorite part about this place? Authentic Italian dishes and Italian ingredients available for hoarding!

It’s located at STC Building, #1 Paseo Saturnino St., Ma. Luisa Rd., Banilad, 6000 Cebu City, so there is ample parking space and you’re assured of security. You can call them at (032) 416 1355 for reservations.

And now, for the food. I didn’t order much this time, but the basics are usually good there. (Four cheese pizza, Aglio Olio, Caprese Salad, Marinara- the works!) I was dining with my sister and we were both quite full. Plus, we both didn’t want to order anything we’ve already tried before. So, lo and behold our simple shared all white meal!

Zuppa di Cipolle Gratinata (P220) If you’re on a date, and you don’t want to fart a lot, you’d probably want to skip this. Look at all those onions just waiting to explode! Also, to be honest (and I’m always honest), I’ve tried a lot of other French Onion soups made better than this so for 220 bucks a pop, it’s not a favorite.

Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (P295) Aren’t you impressed at our authentic italian choices? Carbonara is totally a dish worth writing home about! Okay, enough sarcasm. If feel good food is what you need, then this is a must. Cream based glory just waiting to cover your sorrows in fatty goodness.

Tagliatelle Allo Scoglio (P340) Definitely a must try if you’re looking for something light and not too overwhelming. The seafood was fresh and the sauce lose to zero, so it really keeps the basic flavors out there.

All in all, I really love this place. Though to be honest (cause again, I’m always honest lol) I’d much rather order their pizza and tomato based pastas over these white wonders. Also, I’d much rather eat there when the Italian-Filipino owners are cooking! But it all really depends on you and your taste. All I’m saying is that if you’re in Cebu and in the mood for some authentic Italian, try this place for yourself! If you don’t trust me, read up on other reviews here.

Today, I chose to wear an oversized baseball (is it?) top with sleek leatherette leggings. Told ya I’m into the whole sporty vibe! To keep things interesting though, I chose to incorporate this athletic piece into a rather mature and chic outfit for a bit of contrast. What do you think?

Romwe top, H&M leggings (similar here), Aldo heels, Celine bag, Cukoo watch, Pretty Little Blings earrings and bracelets

hype this look on lookbook and chictopia!
