La Mer

Hello from your modern-day little red riding hood! I wore this sweet lace ensemble to my dad’s birthday lunch last week, and straight to attend the La Mer trunkshow to hoard on their brilliant products and get a facial done. The event was held at the beach ( and very appropriately so) but I didn’t have time to slip into something more casual so I just took off my hat, swapped a few accessories and wore sandals for a quick change.

Doesn’t this outfit remind you so much of those facebook pop up stores that sell asian clothing? lol I tend to give that vibe off a lot, I’m told! What do you think of my look?

hype this look on lookbook and chictopia!

Here I am with La Mer and Bobbi Brown Philippines’ Jill Baysa, My sister-in-law Gretchen Choa-Uy and the mastermind behind the photography on this blog, Jacklyn Uy.

I don’t really get facials because I’m lazy I don’t have time, but I know it’s a really important part of skin care so I made sure not to miss this one, especially since it was by my favorite skin care brand, La Mer. Plus, La Mer isn’t available in Cebu yet, so it was the perfect time and place to get our stocks in!

Each of us got our La Mer facials and felt so refreshed afterwards with our healthy glowing skin! The La Mer team told us about the interesting story behind the brand and how it’s founder, Dr. Max Huber, an aerospace physicist, created the concoction because he himself needed to save his skin from a lab experiment gone wrong. He couldn’t find anything in the market so he decided to create a formula himself using Sea Kelp and bio fermentation. And that’s how the famous and luxurious Creme de La Mer was created! Interesting right?

Would love to hear what you think about my look and the amazing Creme de La Mer. Please leave a comment and thank you in advance for them!
