I love vintage pieces. In fact, my favorite items in my wardrobe are those I got from my mom and grandmom! You can find a lot of great clothes and accessories at your local thrift stores, but if you have OCD like me and the rest of my family, thrift stores are out of the question. There’s nothing wrong with it -if you love shopping there, by all means, Im no one to judge! I’m just saying I can’t do so myself because the moment I step in one, a surge of allergies kicks in and i’m caught in a sea of sneezes! So what do I do to get those coveted aged pieces? Scour for them on the market! I’m lucky to find such a pretty brand new piece from Sabrina! All I had to do was dress it down with some rugged accessories and my outfit was set!

I’m same with you on thrift stores, I would love to go and look for really cheap pieces, but I’m lazy to go to each rack and find something decent, and I also feel like the place is filled with germs. But to those people who can find great deals, props to them! HAHAHA! I really like your blazer and shoes!

I’ve been following your blog for three years now and I do enjoy it, however may I ask what you think about the environment and the issue of sustainability within cheap fashion? Your blog is home to several hundred pages of fast-fashion outfit shots accumulated over a number of years, but it’s just occurred to me that you’ve never publicly spoken about ethics and responsibility and your views on that kind of thing – acquiring new clothes weekly/ daily etc and what happens to these clothes after- chains like WAGW, which you’re heavily involved in, would certainly have it’s detractors should it operate within the UK for example. Just wondering if you could perhaps make a post about this, as many other bloggers that advocate short-lived fashion seem to just sweep it under the rug.

Fast fashion sells here in the Philippines because we are living in a 3rd world country where spending power isn’t as great as the UKs. A lot of people prefer to spend on necessities over fancy clothes or quality clothes that may last long but cost more, because they just cant afford it. Not everyone throws away clothes, even if they’re cheap and out of season. I donate mine or sell them at Bloggers United and donate the money to charity.
