Musee Du Louvre

When in Paris, you can’t miss the iconic Musee Du Louvre. It not only houses some of the world’s most beautiful historic paintings, but it was in fact the royal palace before Versailles. You need a full day there- or maybe even 2 for people who genuinely love art! It’s huuuge. I remember being in awe of the full floor to ceiling paintings inside- most of them were bigger than my entire Parisian apartment! Even if I’ve been in here countless times before, it never comes out of my must-do list. The architecture, the history- aaah, you can just breathe it all in. If you’re in town and can only visit 1 Museum, this is definitely it. (Musee d’Orsay comes to a second.)

Jack and I started the day with breakfast at Du Pain Et Des Idees. We were in search for the best croissant, and we went all the way there for their infamous Almond variety. We walked around Canal Saint-Martin and the Bastille area and did some shopping before heading back to the first arrondissement and heading to the Louvre. When we got there, were greeted by a downpour of rain! We hid by a little arc, only to be surprised moments later by clear skies and a beautiful rainbow. It was indeed the perfect day. <3 Enjoy!
