Our Lucky Day

Our San Francisco trip was nothing short of eventful. Everyday, we saw such beautiful sites through crazy weather changes, but also, everyday we got small doses of luck thrown our way! On our second full day in the city, I requested to visit Lombard St., even though it is pretty darn cliché. I remember seeing it for the first time when I was 10, and I wanted to relive that memory. If you don’t know what it is, see below:Lombard Street is the world famous crooked street of San Francisco. Cars have to zigzag their way to get to the other side of the road. It’s always flocked with tourists, and I bet the residents in the area are so tired of cameras all over their homes all the time! But I just had to see it again! And my friends were kind enough to oblige 😜

There’s nothing much to do there aside from snap a few photos. So after we did that, we walked to the bottom and called an Uber. That’s where the magic happened. Our Uber driver, Lester, happened to be PINOY! After chit chatting a bit, he immediately turned off the meter and ended our trip, offering to take us around the city FOR FREE!!! We didn’t really know where to go, so we were happy to have him tour us like a local! Of course, I asked for more touristy spots!

The first place he took us to was TWIN PEAKS. It’s on top of a mountain overlooking the city, and it has the most magnificent view of SF, in my opinion! It’s also quite far for an Uber ride, and what I really mean is it would’ve been quite expensive to go there, but Lester took us for $0.00!

He was even kind enough to snap some photos of us, and art direct us for some of them! Can you believe this view?? It’s incredible!!!

Next up, city hall! It was Trump’s inauguration day, and so there was a protest outside the building. You’ll see more of it on my VLOG coming soon!!!

Couldn’t help snap this photo from the car,  just because to me, it speaks so much about the American consumerist culture! What do you think of it? I love photography in the sense that what you capture is really how the world speaks to you, and you alone. A different set of eyes may not even see what I see at all! But that’s the beauty of it. Capturing a moment otherwise lost. Stirring beautiful conversation from a single image.

Will you look at this cutie??? 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Slater and I thought we could get a good view of the Golden Gate bridge from Crissy Fields beach, but Lester said he knew a better spot. BETTER SPOT INDEED! All the way up another mountain!!!

Can you believe people actually surf under the bridge? The waters look calm here, but I tell you, they were pretty darn MASSIVE! You’ll see in my VLOG, again, coming at ya real soon!!!

Can you guess where else Lester took us that day???

To be continued!
