Speaking of lookbook, a friend of mine tweeted me this morning and told me that I was on the lookbook top 10. He was quite excited for me, and I told him that it just probably means I’ve posted too many looks already. He said I should put it on my fashion CV, and I graciously thanked him, but I still didn’t get what the big deal was. And then a few hours later, I get a number of emails congratulating me for the same thing. If it is a big deal, then cool and Thank you very much! But I really think it just means I’m overly participative! haha
I don’t really look at the stats a lot, so I was quite surprised at the numbers when I saw them. Look at the top 10 guys as compared to the girls, their numbers are so far apart! Either there aren’t enough participative guys on lookbook, or they aren’t much fashionable guys. I think its the former. I’m quite sure there are more girls willing to parade themselves online for everyone to see than guys. In fact, I can’t imagine any of my guy friends starting a fashion blog anytime soon. I should start convincing! haha

Every thursday is Fashion Thursday, where SOFA comes up with a theme, and everyone gets to dress up accordingly. Today, it was Chinese New Year. Instead of dressing up in the usual Red celebratory color, I decided to take it up a notch with vintage looking pieces and Eastern inspired details and cuts. I totally love the whole Eastern inspired trend on the S/S ’11 runways, so I decided base today’s outfit on it. I wore a Chinese collar deep plunge polo top, floral wide leg pants, a vintage blue leather belt, a diamond bib necklace and wooden heeled peep toe pumps.

I’ve been up and running non-stop since 5 AM this morning. Thank God for expresso, cereal as instant meal, trained legs and short bursts of 3-in-1 packs in between. I do not know what I would do without them. Manila, I love you so much, but the City life is making me older! Days are flying by so fast, I can’t even get decent time to chew my meals. Most of today, whilst stuck in traffic, I was imagining a way to inject food into my system without having to sit down and actually enjoy it. It’s sad, really.
But being realistic, we have to consider our options. Most of us have insanely hectic schedules, making our lives a far cry from the ladies who lunch. In this day and age, proper sit-down meals have become a luxury not everyone can enjoy. Thankfully, there is a way for the busy bunch to cope. DELIVERY. It may not be as glamorous or relaxed, but hey, if the food gets there, why not? Thank God for that new delivery agency, Quick Delivery, that has over 170 restaurants to choose from. Best part is, I heard they’re on promo for the whole month of Feb! If you order off peak (2-5PM), you get a 10% off on delivery for cash payments. Not bad!
