The New Neutral

My sister always tells me that I remind her of Cruella- not because I love fur, but because I love snakeskin, croc skin, lambskin, stingray and all other textures so much. If I had to pick between texture or print for the rest of my life, textures would win by a mile. It didn’t come as a surprise to her that when I saw these jeans at Guess, it was shopping bag and check out for me. I love wearing them with basics for a very effortless feel, or with prints and bold colors- treating them like neutrals and adding so much dimension to my look. Spring is just right around the corner and pastels are such a big trend right now. Try wearing your new neutrals with crisp basics in cotton candy hues for an updated take on the trend! What do you think?

White Walker

This dress takes me one step closer to my dream of waking up effortlessly beautiful. I mean- with a super flattering slip, hair tied up high, big round I’m-a-superstar sunnies, and bold red lips- who wouldn’t think that way? I wore this look back in Cebu, when I had such a busy meeting-filled day, and thanked the heavens for easy glam outfits like this. Speaking of home, I terribly miss it. 2 days to go til I see my sunny city again! Don’t get me wrong, I love Manila and all of it’s concrete mess and wonder, but nothing beats the comforts of Cebu- especially when it involves a 30 minute beach/mountain drive and the friendly familiarity of home.

Heading to the Magnum event tonight at SM AURA, so all you food/dessert junkies out there, stay tuned on my Instagram/Facebook/Twitter for live updates! Also, Close Up Forever Summer is happening tomorrow already!!! My last burst of work and play before I head home and I cant wait! See you there!

Around HongKong

It’s funny how I don’t like wearing travel-friendly winter clothes when I travel. I always try to look “local,” even if it means freezing in stockings-too-thin or being so uncomfortably in heels and a dress. Well, I thought it was high time to be appropriate (finally, right?). So for a long day of work and play around HongKong, I wore jeans (much to my dad’s surprise and equal delight), a polo and a sweater. It doesn’t get comfier than this! Train rides, long haul car rides, meetings, shopping and a surprisingly good Salmon burger later, I was as energized as when I woke up! Damn, I’ve been missing out!
