Let’s welcome this wednesday with another set of hairspirations brought to you by Pantene and Thirstythought! This style is called New Realism- a youthful, defined, elegant and rich look. How do we achieve this? The classic pony tail of course!
Before getting started, my hair was ironed out to make it silky smooth and perfectly straight.
Then, Alex Carbonel works his magic. He begins by spliting my hair into three sections, tying the middle one in a low ponytail. Low ponytails always channel sophistication, which is perfect for what we were going for. Next, he pulls back the remaining sections of hair and coils them around the rubber band, so they conceal it completely. The effect is a smooth pulled back look that is shiny and not greasy.
See how pretty??? I never expected to like my hair styled like this, but it’s really new and awesome!
And of course, to achieve the shiny locks needed for this hair style, Pantene offers you their Silky Smooth Hair Care line which is what we used for this particular look. The effects are obvious and instant! I never knew my hair would shine that much!
To match my hairstyle, I opted to wear a modern Parisian chic outfit that exuded the same level of youthfulness and class.
Gold and White were my two main pantones, and I think they gave the my outfit the perfect hint of sophistication.
My white sleeveless polo gave off youthful playfulness with its embroidered floral details. I can just picture wearing this polo in so many other ways- neon inside, under a jacket, over a dress etc. So versatile!
