Neutral tones always make you look sophisticated, even in a grunge-y setting like this. If you take a close look at what I’m wearing, it’s really quite simple- top, skirt and heels. The power really lies in the details and how to combine them together to create a cohesive, striking and not over the top look. I had a lot going on in this outfit, but they all came together nicely. My top was sequinned and part sheer, my skirt was silk in a small mullet cut and commanded attention with its beautiful print, and my bag was fully studded in glamorous gold, but because they all fell into a jewel tone category, they easily complimented each other and made for a pretty cool outfit! (Also, side note: props to me for learning how to stand straight in spikey stilettos on soil ground!)
Printed bottoms are always a joy to work with when styling. You can dress them up or down in so many different ways and the look will always be different! If I wore this skirt with a plain white V-neck top or a long sleeved cutout leotard, the feel of my look would change drastically!
I’ve had these shoes for quite some time now but I’ve just gotten around to using them. They’re so fierce and on-trend considering the recent surge in military-inspired separates! The color + exposed buckle + cross over straps is perfect for that!
What do you think about my look?
