Rica’s

#FeelingFoodBlogger moment number 3 comin’ atcha! This time, it’s on one of my fave resto’s in Cebu- Rica’s Cafe! I remember when this restaurant was silently tucked in the corner of the compound beside Maria Luisa Subdv. in Banilad, Cebu. My friends and I would frequent that place knowing we’d probably be the only ones there! The ambiance was great, the food was great and we felt like it was a hidden gem meant for just us. Now, they’ve moved to a bigger and better location right at the first floor of Henry Hotel (that place where I celebrated my 23rd birthday, and shot a collection for WAGW)!

Rica’s took over “Paseo One” restaurant and as you can see, the new vibe of this place matches the hotel’s quirky interiors perfectly! Whenever I have guests from Manila, I always bring them here and we just looove sitting by the huge set of tables and chairs there on the right!

When you order, they give you a complimentary appetizer consisting of their own baked crackers and salsa. I loove this! You can also order this in a bigger portion of you can’t get enough of it, though the free sample is already large enough!

My absolute favorite thing to order here is their Mushroom and Arugula Pizza. I can’t help myself! It’s sooo good! I definitely recommend this! It’s so light that you can order it as an appetizer to share with your friends, or eat it solo as a meal all for yourself!

Mike’s favorite is their Beef Salpicao. Again, due to my inability to consume meat- I have no comment! But the fact that he orders this all the time probably means its good! They also have a SPAM burger that Mike claims to be out of this world! I don’t have a photo of it, but he orders it all the time too!

That day, I got myself the Spinach and Mushroom Cannelloni.Β It was a teeny bit too rich and creamy for my taste, but if you’re into that stuff, this should be good for you!

Of course, we don’t end our meals without coffee, and I had their Iced version. They put in the syrup before they serve it to you, so if you don’t like sweet coffee, it’s best to tell them not to do this beforehand.

Rica’s Cafe is located at:
#1 Paseo Saturnino Ma. Luisa Road Banilad , 6000 Cebu City

Right outside the bar section of the restaurant is a door that leads to the pool of Henry Hotel. You can also relax and dine at the patio beside it- it can be quite nice at night! I had the liberty of taking my outfit shots here, away from everyone’s wandering eyes! lol

I was feeling quite preppy and youthful today, so I wore a splash of colors and prints to create this vibrant look. Dots and florals are always a good match!

My fave neon color also looked terrific with my suede purple bag, and though it may seem a bit much, I decided to just risk the color (and print) explosion and go for it! I mean, I was already at such a quirky place, why not dress for it too! What do you think?

hype this look on lookbook and chictopia!
