I wore this super sexy low back maxi to the airport on my trip back to Cebu just last Monday. With all these days in the airport, I’m running out of outfits that provide just the right amount of coverage and appeal! This dress was a total lifesaver though because it kept me comfortable (and cool!) the entire time, and I didn’t even have to think of anything to match it with! Okay okay, truth be told, I was just too darn sleepy to think of what to wear that morning. But with a dress as awesome as this, my “doing it on purpose” excuses totally checks out!

I wanted the main focus to be on this one of a kind number, so I kept it simple and ditched the heavy accessories, save for this classic gold one. Though I think my outfit would have looked pretty awesome with a long printed scarf too!

A big roomy bag and some comfortable sandals are a must to don on travelling dates. You wouldn’t want to be forced to store something in your checked in luggage only to find out you need it when you can’t get it anymore!

What do you think?

Speaking of travelling, I’m heading to SINGAPORE in two weeks, so if you have any tips or suggestions on what to do there, please leave a comment below! Or if anyone wants to do a collab or meet up, please contact me through the contact tab on the menu! Also, because I can’t get enough of Singapore, I’ve already booked a second trip back to the city on September, but this time, it’s for the 1 World Music Festival! That’s a 2 day music fest (Sept 20-21) filled with world renowned artists like Tinie Tempah, Far East Movement, Orbital, Infected Mushroom, Yuna, Iggy Azalea, Sub Focus + ID, Pendulum DJ Set + Verse, Cosmic Gate, and Cobra Starship! It’s usually done in Australia but this year, they’re doing it at the same place and time as the Grand Prix! It’s gonna be amazing, and I’m sooo excited to be there!!!

Official information regarding the event details, artists, and sale of tickets and tables can be found at or for short. Or you can buy your tickets here like I did! Hope to see you there!!!

I was in Singapore just two months ago so this is a bit fresh:

    1. This isn’t something you can plan in two weeks, but if you can you might want to go on a cruise. The one we went to is Star Cruises’s SuperStar Virgo, they have a pool and a 100+ foot slide, plus they have shows that you can watch for free. They also had a chocolate buffet. I blogged about it just recently. My pictures aren’t really travel brochure-worthy though. :) This is where I spent most of the vacation though, so I think most of the things I’ll recommend about Singapore itself will have been talked about.

    2. My sister mentioned that the best dim sum places are in Geylang. They might be a bit expensive though, we had breakfast there and our bill was twice as much as in Starbucks, but check it out anyway.

    3. A lot of people would recommend Orchard Road for shopping, but don’t miss out on VivoCity too. It’s right next to the Singapore Cruise Center so you might be able to see the huuuuuge cruise ships, plus you can leave your bags there if you don’t have a place to stay and want to go to Universal Studios. They also have a chocolate bar, it’s called Max Brenner something, and everything they serve has chocolate. If, like me, you don’t have a sense of direction, you could pretty much get lost in there since the buildings aren’t rectangular, so you wouldn’t know how many times you’ve gone around the place.

    4. Universal Studios. ‘Nuff said. Don’t forget about Battlestar Galactica (not for the faint-hearted) and Transformers (like IMAX, but waay better). They sometimes have singers near where they have the Chevy Impala parked, I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s between Hollywood and New York.

    5. Singapore Flyer. It’s a giant ferris wheel that gives you a bird’s eye view of the city, and you can see parts of Malaysia from there too. If you want to personalize the experience some more, they have this partnership with Moët & Chandon where you can drink wine in the room thing and it goes around twice.

    6. I agree with the commenter who said you should take the bus. It will be a little more stressful, but it’ll feel like you experienced more of Singapore.

    7. If you want a cheap-ish place to stay in, we stayed at the Fragrance Hotel Ruby in Geylang, it’s new and fairly nice but the rooms are pretty small.

    8. Their sunrise is at 7 am and their sunset is at 7 pm. I don’t know, I just find it fascinating. :)

    I hope this helps! :)

No problem :) I love traveling and talking about them.

When you’re at the Singapore Flyer you can take pictures of the Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands, in fact you can actually include both in a single picture. There’s also one more thing that I can’t quite recall.

You should probably go see the Merlion too, and walk at the bridge that I can’t remember what it’s called. We didn’t get to do it so it didn’t really stick with me, but if you go there take lots of pictures and make me wish I could go back to Singapore. 😀

Oh yeah, it’s also only one degree from the equator, so it’s reeeaaally hot there. And their airport is pretty much a tourist destination in itself, with a butterfly sanctuary and a pool.

Also when you get to spend a lot, you can hand over the receipts to this booth at the airport and they’ll reimburse the sales tax. I think it’s for purchases over 100 SGD, and they give you this form thing.

If you have a BDO credit card, they have a joint promo with USS. Cebu Pac also has promos with USS (Universal Studios Singapore) and Singapore Flyer, but the discount for BDO at USS is greater, and the Cebu Pac promo is good for six tickets. Oh and you get a $10 voucher with the BDO purchase at USS.

I think I should have emailed you instead. 😛 My comments just seem to get longer.

You’re welcome. :) Oh and one last thing, there are travel apps for the iPad (not sure if it works for the iPhone but it probably does) specifically for Singapore, they tell you how long trips are if you take a taxi or the bus or MRT and they even show you how much it costs.

Thank you too for responding to my super duper long comments! It makes me all giddy 😀
