I’ve always had so many dreams for myself. When I was a kid, I told everyone that I wanted to be a doctor or a teacher. That was the “respectable dream.” I never admitted that it was also a dream of mine to be a model and to eventually see my face on one of the billboards along the city. I was ashamed to have that “unrealistic” one out in the open, because I was afraid people would laugh at me, or tell me I didn’t have the looks or what it took to get there. I was a very awkward gawky kid with china chop bangs and a straight bob, and admittedly, up ’til I was about 5-6 years old, people always mistook me for a little boy. (That probably explains my overwhelming preference to anything girly.) Well, to make a long story short- I didn’t get to become any of the “respectable” dreams, but I did eventually have a taste of the unrealistic one. Life as a funny way of catching up on you. Just when you think “there’s no way in the world,” a window opens up right in front of you, and you won’t even know it when you’re there. My point is, we should never stop dreaming because in reality, dreams really do come true. (#cheesylang #feelinginspiring)
