This City

Mike and I had a little Field Trip around Cebu last week for an article I was writing (which I will tell you about soon!) and we discovered so many nice new places to eat in, visit, and chill around the city! Read on to find out a few of the places I’m talking about!

If you head on up to Busay in Cebu (5-10 minutes from JY Square in Lahug), you get a magnificent view of the city (and an awesome chance to camwhore) for just 20 pesos! Add another 50 and you get to go ziplining through the mountains! I specifically love their bamboo treehouse, and can’t imagine how beautiful it must be to have a picnic there when the sun sets!

For the food lovers out there, here are three of the long list of restos I recommend in Cebu. First, La Marea. All Cebu bound tourists probably already heard about this yummy desert place, but even locals can’t get enough of it! They’re famous for their warm brownie cup, but my personal favorite is their Concorde cake. Yummm.

Cebu is famous for their special lechon flavor, and since I’m a pescatarian, I can’t relate! But according to my boyfriend, Mike, and many of my family and friends, the very best Spicy Lechon can be found at CANGS. It’s not commercialized which is probably why you haven’t heard of it, but it surely beats all those other brands I see people bringing as pasalubong! (for orders: +639177200636)

Lastly, a new cute and quirky place to chill in and have some coffee is a Korean Cafe called “Sunday, 2PM.” I recommend you drop by on Sunday… at around 2 PM! Okay… that was a bad joke. But anyway, their walls are lined with post it notes, and they have notebooks to doodle in and wooden study tables for you to dine in. Sooo cute!

Hope these little tips help you on your next visit to Cebu!
