Hello from BEIJING! Did I fool you, did I fool you??? Okay, fine. I’m not in China. A few days ago, I took my touristy mood and went up one of Cebu’s well known spots: the Taoist Temple. I love how oriental everything is up there (I say UP there because you have to climb a gazillion steps to get to it!). I also wanted to take my new Canon IXUS 500 HS camera out for a spin, and I figured a trip like this was perfect for it!

What better way to act like a tourist than to dress like a tourist? Slips+ hat+ shorts and you’re good to go!

This chic Canon IXUS 500 HS has a 10.1 Megapixels and is one of my favorite point and shoot cameras to date! First off, the frame. It’s gorgeously rectangular, minimalist and slim! Even if it has up to 12x optical zoom, it’s the world’s slimmest camera with this feature, making it fit into your touristy pockets like a charm! Second, the technology. This is the first camera (along with the IXUS 125HS) to carry the DIGIC 5 image processor which means you can snap away regardless of lighting conditions and all that photographer talk, and no matter where you are, your skin will look extra radiant and wrinkle free! (Instant skin smoothening feature! Girls, what are you waiting for??) Another technology in this small thing that I love? The Intelligent IS. It’s such a waste when photos come out blurry, especially for shutterbugs like me. This feature automatically counters camera shake, so even my 3 year old nephew can take my photos and it will look like a professional did it! Third, when you buy this camera, it comes with a 3-year warranty, so you have nothing to worry about!
If you want this camera, you can buy it at any Canon authorized dealer nationwide for Php 18,498 (approximately $441).

When you’re too lazy to accessorize, an easy option is to play with colors and patterns in your outfit!

By far one of the comfiest slips in the universe. I’ve already worn this before, but I just can’t help wearing it again and again! It’s in yummy yellow too, which is a definite PLUS! A lot of people (unfortunately) stepped on me that day (is that a tourist custom to step on people? lol) but I easily cleaned them out with wet wipes! Comfy and easy to maintain!

What do you think about my look?
H&M hat & top, Mango shorts, Flossy slips, Eazy Fashion iPhone earplug
hype this look on lookbook and chictopia!
P.S.
