Up Up and Away

So I probably sound like a broken record already, but I really do love my maxi dresses when I travel. You just slip them on and boom- you’re fab! Cotton maxi’s are the best because they’re insanely comfortable and the moment you pop some gold on it, you totally look like you made an effort when you clearly didn’t! I wore this on my late night flight to Manila and I wish I wore this too on my trip back. I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned it here, but that experience was just terrible. I was on the Philippine Airlines flight back to Cebu, and after the flight getting delayed, finally boarding, spending an hour in silence on the runway (and having to pee terribly!), the pilot finally announced that there was some trouble on the wheel and we needed to wait for assistance to come our way. 30 minutes later, the help arrived and surveyed the craft, then made the conclusion that further check-ups had to be made. Props to the pilot for catching the glitch early on, cause that would have been one scary flight! So anyway, we went back to the terminal and another hour later, they announced that the plane was not fit to fly, so all the passengers had to disembark! Whew- that was already about 4 hours wasted. We were led back to the terminal where we checked in (chaotically and with super angry passengers, and the Sky Logistics staff fighting each other). Long story short, we finally boarded another plane and arrived safely back in Cebu with an excruciating 6 hour delay. But hey, at least I’m in one piece, right? The moral of the story kids- wear maxi dresses so that on occasions like these, you can comfortably sleep in while everyone panics!

Fantasia dress, Extreme Finds necklace, Michael Antonio heels

hype this look on lookbook and chictopia!

P.S. I have a collection of cloud shots on all my plane rides cause they keep me calm. If you’re anything like me, then you’ll enjoy these few I took with the sun setting over the clouds! So grand and majestic!

Not to kill your buzz or anything, but wearing a dress (and heels) is actually not advisable in an event of an emergency. Think jumping down slides, running, protecting yourself from burns, etc. Although it IS quite cute and comfy… but, you know. :)

Great look, regardless. :) I’m glad you’re one of those people who remain optimistic despite delays. Sometimes people just tend to complain and stuff and don’t see that most of the time, it’s also for our safety that they delay flights. :D
