Yarra Valley

After a long day exploring the adventurous side of Victoria, Andi and I wanted a luxurious and more laid back second day. Our solution? Book a wine tour to Yarra Valley. We started off at the Moet and Chandon vineyard, and then moved along to a Cheese tasting the Yarra Valley Dairy. Then we went to Yering Station to try out more wines, and capped off our day at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie. It was my first every wine tour experience and I was surprised to find Andi and myself being the youngest in the group. We looked like kids beside all the tall and chic Europeans! But we had such a great time indulging in a drinks and sweets that we didn’t really mind being the odd ones out. Read on below to see what each place had in store for us!

At Moet and Chandon, we each got to choose one glass of Champagne to drink. I chose the girliest Rosè drink because it was exclusive to this vineyard, and you can’t find it anywhere else. We also got to tour the place and get insider info on how they produce their Champagnes. But the best part was probably spending a few laughs with Andi, bubbly in hand and looking at a spectacular scene like this.

We didn’t really spend much time at the Yarra Valley Dairy. They just made us try a few bite sized bits of different cheeses- I never knew there were sooooo many kinds! It wasn’t really great though because we were just standing by the counter without much explanation or comfort. But all in good experience!

Yerring Station was next, and this is where Andi and I really got down to business. They made us try SOOOO many wines! As much as we wanted really! We loved the MVR one, and I wish I bought bottles to take home with me! The people there were so friendly and accommodating too! Plus, the vineyard was so pretty, we couldn’t resist shooting a few photos!

We capped off our day with a visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie where we drowned ourselves in sweetness. I felt like I was in candy wonderland! If you plan on taking this tour as well, you can opt to buy your souvenirs here because they have so many pretty and yummy stuff on hand!

After the tour, Andi and I found our way back to the city and spent the rest of the night eating chips while exploring the town. I have so much more to share with you guys, and I’m sorry its taking a while to get through these photos! ( Busy busy lang!)But I do hope you stay tuned because there’s definitely more interesting stuff you need to see! Til next time, lovers! x
