Another list of my favorite things!
This time, I wanna talk about my top 5 reads!
Do check them out!
1. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – Taylor Jenkins Reid
Don’t judge this book by it’s title! Seriously, don’t!
This book taught me a lot about happiness and how you get it from honesty and genuine relationships – not just romantic but also relationships in general.
2. Becoming – Michelle Obama
When it comes to modern-day icon of empowerment, there is no doubt that Michelle Obama makes it to the list.
This book is special to me as it helped me understand how the power of love and dreams can help build a better country.
I know that there’s a lot of heavy politics around the reviews, but if we go and appreciate the core of this book, you’ll know how inspiring and humbling Michelle’s life is.
3. Where the Crawdads Sing – Delia Owens
This is one of my favorite fiction books of all time. Bullying, complicated relationships and murder…?
This book would certainly make you feel something.
4. The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
Now on the self-help category, this read is a true gem. In this fast-paced world, being attuned to your present life and be one with yourself at the moment.
This book taught me a lot about how to react properly in situations.
This is a good read for those who’s struggling to find their own awakening and mindfulness.
5. The Tattooist of Auschwitz- Heather Morris
I love this book because I’ve always been interested in what happened during Nazi period.
We’re all familiar with Anne Frank, her story and her struggles.
This book, however, offers another view of the situation then.
This is fiction, yes, but how it offered another perspective on what happened before appeals to me in a way i can’t explain.
I would say these are really powerful books. in one way or another they’ve opened my eyes and made me feel emotions I don’t normally feel in my daily life – I guess this is really magic.
But I’m also curious to know what’s on your list! Comment below and share!
