When I travel abroad, I love diving deep into the local culture and trying my best to assimilate. I try to dress, shop, and of course, eat like the locals. (You can see exactly what I mean in my past food posts!) So by the time I get back home, I’m mostly craving for the comforts of home cooked meals and classic Filipino food. Sorry for all this talk about edibles, but I can’t resist sharing such a happy part of my life with you guys, especially when it’s about feel good food! Right when I got back home from Melbourne (my posts about this trip have yet to be completed, so do stay tuned!), I was invited to the launch of a new Pinoy restaurant that’s popping up everywhere nationwide.
It’s called “Kuya J Restaurant” and (I’m proud to say) they started in cebu and they’re expanding like bananas! I can’t see why they shouldn’t as they serve really affordable yummy food! The event was held at their newest branch at the ground floor of SM Megamall, and we were joined by their new endorser: Jericho Rosales. Now all i know about Jericho is that he is famous and he has a gorgeous fashyon wife, but after the event, I became a fan! He is so down to earth! When I arrived at the resto super late (I blame manila traffic!!!), he was the first to say Hi to me. I didn’t recognize him at first, and his friendly gesture made me assume he was one of the owners. LOL. But then I saw his name plastered on the walls and slowly put two and two together. Another SMH moment for me with yet another artista! Hay, I should really watch more TV! But anyway, I like Jericho now! Plus, I’m loving his hair and whole good guy look! Pays to have a fashion girl as a wifey!
Aaaaanyway back to the food! Here are all the yummy stuff we got to try! I only ate the seafood and veggies but I’m showing you guys the rest for reference anyway!
