Aerial Adventure

Is it just me or did anyone else feel the awesome wave of holidays this August? I felt like there was at least one long weekend per week! Since Mike and I both didn’t have any travel plans on our plate that month, we decided to make the most of it by being touristy in our own city! I’ve often mentioned Cebu Zipline at Doce Pares in this blog or on articles I’ve written as a cheap thrill to do with your spare 30 minutes in town, but I’ve never tried it myself! So when Mike and I had nothing better to do, we figured, why not try it out!

We drove up the mountains in Busay, just 10 minutes away from JY Square, Cebu and headed for our first aerial adventure together. I initially thought it would only cost 50 pesos (thats the amount I wrote down on all my Cebu articles!), but they charged us P250/person (for the Superman or lying down zipline). Either they thought I was an easy-to-scam Korean tourist, or they really did increase their prices. Either way, I didn’t bother to complain! It’s cheaper if you just opt to sit on the harness, but I figured this superman one would be way more epic!

What I love about this place is that aside from flying on wires, they have all sorts of tree houses you can freely occupy to eat in, relax or take photos. It’s an actual hut built on bamboo stilts and actually quite scary when you’re on it because it shakes and cracks from time to time. I’m just happy I’m still alive! lol Anything for a good photo! #BloggerProblems

I knew I was going to be harnessed in uncomfortable places, so I made sure to wear comfortable shorts that wouldn’t ride up where it shouldn’t! It was also quite chilly up there, so I brought a cozy cardigan to warm me up.

Okay, it may seem strange that I’m wearing a corset to go Ziplining, but this one is really comfortable, and I figured, I’d need a fitting top to go with my loose shorts. This top didn’t only fit me really well, it also didn’t move much, which was surprisingly great for this activity!

Time for the cheese. *warning: skip this part if you are bitter about love* The best part about this trip was probably spending the whole day with my partner in crime, best friend, and boyfriend, Mike. You know how they say you shouldn’t get into relationships with your best friend because if it ends bad you’ll lose both love and friendship? Well, I’m really glad I took that risk because the past 6 years of my live have been nothing short of amazing. I always have someone to share every single up and down with. We’ve been through sooo much together, and I’m glad that we’re still happily around for each other, and still very in love. I don’t think I’d ever find anyone who truly loves and accepts me like Mike. I mean- he fell in love with me at my weird puberty stage where I looked sooo horrible (no joke), before I started this blog or started my love affair with fashion. And no matter what I decide to do (move to manila, study in Paris, publish my private life for online consumption), all he does is welcome all my decisions with open arms knowing I can take care of myself and that he’ll always be there to catch me if it doesn’t end up well. All that of course with a camera in hand- “for memories.”
