Time for another #Feeling Food Blogger moment! I wonder when the day will come that I no longer see the need to use the #Feeling hashtag! lol Documenting what I eat has become such a fun (and annoying) habit, and I figure, why not put all these good photos to use and share them with all of you! Sooo here’s my forth official restaurant review, and this time, it’s of another place that I always frequent- Gusto Urban Cafe + Wine Bar!
Pasta Del Mare Spaghetti (P215) Tuna Flakes, Garlic, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, Arugula and Chili peppers. What’s not to love? This is my favorite pasta on their menu because it’s light, tastes great and fills you up just the right way!
Fatte In Casa Ravioli (P215)Â Stuffed with Ricotta Cheese and Spinach on Basil Tomato Sauce. Super rich dish that I wouldn’t order if I was on a diet! But it’s still good and even though the portion looks small, it’s really quite filling!
Insalate Mare (P225)Â Shrimp, Squid, Crab, Greens, Basil Pesto, Alfalfa, Lemon Vinaigrette. My favorite salad! It’s soooo tasty and savory I could eat three servings of this before feeling sick of it! It’s flavor you wouldn’t expect from a seafood salad, so the richness definitely hits the spot once you try it!
Pasta Vegetariane Spaghetti (P170)Â Garlic, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, Chili Peppers, Parsley. Basically their version of the Aglio Olio. It tastes a little bit like the Tuna Pasta I first mentioned- except without the tuna. Super good if you just want that clean basic garlicy taste!
Pasta Del Mare Spaghettini (P185) Sardines, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Tomato, Peppers, Coriander. To be honest, I haven’t tried this yet, but it’s the next on my agenda!
Fatte In Casa Lasagna (P235)Â Classic Bolognese Meat Sauce Oven Baked with Melted Mozzarella. How can you screw up good ol’ Lasagna? You cant. This is comfort food at it’s finest.
Minestrone Zuppe (P180) Nine kind of Seasonal Vegetable on Flavoured Broth. Another favorite! In fact, I can’t wait to get some of this right now! It’s the perfect rich taste I need for sick days when you can’t taste anything! It’s so buttery too- so it smells amazing and it’s just the right starter to get you salivating for more!
Pasta Del Mare Farfalle (P235) Crabmeat, Stewed Tomato, Chili Peppers, Touch of Cream. Yes, actual crab meat and not packaged Kani. For that reason alone, I love this dish. Though if you’re looking for the creaminess of classic carbonara, this may lack a bit in that department.
Maiale Salsiccia. Grilled Longaniza Sausage on Fried Vegetable Rice. I don’t think I’m ever gonna get to try this, so lets skip it! Looks yummy though!
Not the best coffee in the world, and not the yummiest cookie either (I prefer the softer ones, but if you like crunchy cookies, you might like this), but it does the trick of sealing your appetite after a good no nonsense italian meal!
Gusto Urban Cafe and Wine Bar is open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. and is located at the ground floor of the Calyx building in Cebu IT Park (formerly known as Asiatown IT Park). My outfit peg for the day was all about a casual “ladies who lunch” look. Simple, clean, effortless, yet stunning. I wore a pastel top with crisp white skinnies (the easy way to look polished) and matched with the bright red lips and spiky silver accessories.
The trick when wearing red lipstick during the day is to keep your eye shadow light (or close to none) so that you don’t look trashy and overly made up.
I looove contrasting my look with my accessories and made sure to wear edgy ones with a dainty outfit like this. Even though I wanted them to stand out, I chose silver pieces to keep everything cohesive so that nothing fights for your attention. What do you think?
