This year, i turn 33. I thought I wanted a big celebration coming from the pandems and years of simple birthdays, but I quickly realized how special my simple birthdays have become. It felt like just another ordinary day, and I realized I’m so incredibly lucky and privileged to be able to spend my everydays with so much love.
Hubs gave me some flowers and the sweetest letter- the best gift ever. He knows the way to my heart! ♥️ I’ve never been one to love receiving gifts, but send me a heartfelt note and I’m smitten all over again.
We spent the day at home and had dinner with family. It was such a simple celebration, but so me. Now that I’m older and wiser, I really know who I am now and feel so free. I no longer feel the need to prove myself to anyone or pretend to like this and that to keep up. I’m contented just being me, and that’s really the best gift I could ever give myself.
